Coco Johnson collected three hits, helping the Windy City ThunderBolts (2-1) to a 7-2 victory over the Florence Freedom (1-1) on Saturday at UC Health Stadium.
He singled in the first, fourth, and eighth innings.The Windy City ThunderBolts got the win thanks in large part to Clay Chapman's dominant, five-strikeout performance. Chapman allowed no earned runs on five hits and three walks over six innings.
Clayton Crum couldn't get it done on the bump for the Florence Freedom, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out one.
