The Slippery Rock Sliders (7-16) and the Lorain County Ironmen (7-16) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Slippery Rock Sliders that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-2 win at The Pipe Yard.

Justin Viele reached base three times. He singled in the third inning.

Jim Miller got the win, running his season record to 1-3. He allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings. Miller struck out one, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Spencer Bryant couldn't get it done on the mound for the Lorain County Ironmen, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
