Joel Sharon begins his first season with the ThunderBolts and first as a professional in 2016. He signed on June 23, 2016. Sharon, who spent 2016 spring training with the Schaumburg Boomers, comes to the Frontier League from Concordia University Wisconsin, where he spent four seasons as a pitcher and outfielder. Over 103 innings, he posted a career 5-8 record and 5.24 ERA with 67 strikeouts. He enjoyed his best year as a junior, when he had a 2.74 ERA over seven starts. He also hit .320 over 485 career at bats. Prior to Concordia, Joel attended Nicolet High School in Glendale, Wisconsin.
