The Chugiak Chinooks (2-4) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 5-1 ballgame against the Anchorage Bucs (5-2) on Saturday at Mulcahy Field.

A two-run home run by Gage West gave the Anchorage Bucs the lead in the sixth inning.

Cade Reiten led the Anchorage Bucs' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He homered in the sixth inning.

The Chugiak Chinooks had no answer for Devon Stewart, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Chugiak Chinooks managed just three hits off of Stewart, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his four innings of work.

Daniel Przeniczny (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed one run.
