Cam Brown is a rookie with the ThunderBolts in 2021. He signed as a free agent on August 13, 2021 following a five-year career at Central Michigan University. Over his career with the Chippewas, he won 22 games to nine losses and compiled a 4.75 ERA. In his senior season, he went 7-2 with a 4.68 ERA over 15 games (14 starts) and 75 innings.

His best season came in 2019 as a junior, when he went 10-1 with a 3.20 ERA in 16 starts. His ten wins and 98.1 innings pitched both ranked in the top-ten all-time at Central Michigan for a single season. For his efforts, he was named Second Team All-MAC and was also named to the MAC All-Tournament team for the second consecutive year. Prior to Central Michigan, he attended Pontiac Township High School in Pontiac, Illinois.
