Alexi Colon clubbed two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Schaumburg Boomers (40-28) to a win on Sunday, as the Schaumburg Boomers fell to the Joliet Slammers (27-41) 11-3 at Silver Cross Field.
The Joliet Slammers blew out the Schaumburg Boomers thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Joliet Slammers scored five runs in the fifth on the Joliet Slammers scored in the fifth on a hit by pitch, , , a two-run single by Adam Giacalone, and a double by Josh Scheffert.

Cal Bowling (6-6) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
