SV Caldaro Rothoblaas falls to SHC Fassa after surprising comeback

Undaunted by a three-goal deficit, SHC Fassa battled back to claim a 5-4 victory over SV Caldaro Rothoblaas.

SHC Fassa let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a three hole to pick up the win. SHC Fassa took a 1-0 advantage on a goal by Enrico Chelodi at 5:08 in the first period. SHC Fassa went down 4-1 after SV Caldaro Rothoblaas' Alexander Berry put the puck home at 19:59 in the second period. After knotting things up at 4-4 on a goal by Per Filip William Bjork at 12:12 in the third, SHC Fassa got the game-winner from Tony Vidgren at 18:25 in the third period.

Vidgren was all over the ice for SHC Fassa, as he registered two goals in the win.

SHC Fassa struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 14 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays. SHC Fassa got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

SHC Fassa additionally got points from Bjork, who also racked up one goal and one assist. SHC Fassa also got a goal from Martin Castlunger as well. In addition, SHC Fassa received assists from Carlo Lorenzi, Mattia Bernard, and Manuel Da Tos, who contributed one each and Sami Juhani Ryhanen and Michele Marchetti, who each chipped in three.

SV Caldaro Rothoblaas was led by Denny Deanesi, who had two goals. Deanesi scored the first of his two goals at 5:28 into the first period to make the score 1-1.
