Dorchester wins tough contest against Lambeth, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Dorchester Dolphins escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Lambeth Lancers.

Dorchester gained the winning advantage on a goal by Collin Hartwick 13:43 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.

The win gave the Dolphins a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Dorchester was sparked by Hartwick, who racked up one goal.

Lambeth was unable to stop the Dolphins from sending pucks towards the net, and Dorchester eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Dorchester also got points from Shayne Rhyno, who also had one goal and one assist. Brendon O Shaughnessy also scored for Dorchester. More assists for Dorchester came via Tyler Blue, who had one and Matt Ross, who had two.

The Lancers forced the Dolphins goalie Craig Wood to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Lambeth was helped by Mike Golinowski, who tallied one goal. Golinowski scored 6:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambeth. Trevor Daynes picked up the assist. Lambeth also got a goal from Ryan Pennington as well. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Kale Corbeth, Mitch Furlonger, and Warren Hargraves, who each chipped in one.

Craig Wood made 29 saves for Dorchester on 31 shots. The Dolphins incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Lancers' JP Trudell stopped 33 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Lambeth incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
