The Lucan Irish and the Port Stanley Sailors were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Lucan made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-4. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Zach Beaumont's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. After the loss made the series score 2-3 in the best of seven series, Port Stanley faces elimination next time out. Beaumont was all over the ice for the Irish, as he finished with two goals in the win. Lucan's penalty kill excelled, as the Irish gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. The Sailors were unable to stop Lucan from sending pucks towards the net, and the Irish eventually piled up 50 shots on goal. Lucan also got points from Mitch Smith, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Lucan included Kody Tremblay and Andrew Reichert, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Lucan were Mitch Moran, who had one and Nathan Marcil, who had two. Port Stanley's offense rang up 43 shots on Lucan's net. The Sailors were helped by Mark Brisson, who had one goal. Brisson scored 9:54 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Tyler Beaulieu assisted on the tally. Port Stanley also had goals scored by Tanner Turley, Alex Weaver, and Andrew Fenn, who scored one goal each. In addition, Port Stanley received assists from Andrew Yurek, Zak Jukna, and Tyson Corkum, who each chipped in one. Tyler Beattie rejected 39 shots on goal for the Irish. Lucan incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Ricky Corkum recorded 45 saves for Port Stanley. The Sailors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
