Beaulieu nets hat trick, leads Port Stanley to 7-5 win over Lucan

Tyler Beaulieu netted a hat trick to lead the Port Stanley Sailors over the Lucan Irish, 7-5.

Beaulieu notched his first tally 11:38 into the second period. He then added goals at 12:59 into the second and at 18:50 into the third.

After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Lucan faces elimination next time out.

Port Stanley also got points from Zak Jukna, who also racked up two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Port Stanley also had goals scored by Dylan Bedard and Tyson Corkum, who each put in one. More assists for Port Stanley came via Andrew Yurek, who had one and Tanner Turley, who had three.

The Irish were led by Keiron Cobban, who registered three goals. Lucan additionally got points from Nathan Marcil, who also had one goal and one assist. Lucan also got a goal from Mitch Moran as well. In addition, Lucan received assists from Mitch Smith, Andrew Reichert, and Spenser Talbot, who contributed one a piece.

Aiden Brown made 16 saves for Port Stanley on 21 shots. The Sailors incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors. Tyler Beattie rejected 15 shots on goal for Lucan. The Irish incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. For Lucan, Jake Morin was ejected from the game.
