Derby Twins easily dispatched BJ’s on Sunday at Panther Field, 13-7.

Derby Twins jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Kade Sheldon drew a walk, scoring one run, Carter Kutz drew a walk, scoring one run, Kole Dudding singled, scoring two runs, and Joel Lindahl singled, scoring one run.

An error extended the Derby Twins lead to 6-1 in the bottom of the third inning.

Derby Twins scored one run in the bottom of the fourth on a solo home run to right field by Noah Allison.

Jackson Syring hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the sixth for the Derby Twins.

Derby Twins scored one run in the bottom of the seventh on a solo home run to center field by Kole Dudding on the sixth pitch of the at-bat.

Grant Harvill earned the win for Derby Twins. The lefty surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking two. Ian Reid took the loss for BJ’s. The right-handed pitcher went one inning, allowing four runs on one hit, striking out one and walking three. Teddy Judkins pitched one and two-thirds innings of zero-run ball for Derby Twins in relief. The righty allowed three hits, striking out one and walking none.

Derby Twins tallied nine hits in the game. Kole Dudding and Jackson Syring each collected two hits for Derby Twins. Carter Kutz and Kole Dudding each drove in three runs for Derby Twins. Griffin Cooley paced Derby Twins with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing 10 walks for the game.

BJ’s accumulated nine hits in the game. Jacob Ortega, Drew Grego, and Justin Hudson each collected two hits for BJ’s. Drew Grego went 2-for-5 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Jack Ryan paced BJ’s with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. BJ’s ran wild on the base paths, tallying four stolen bases for the game.

Derby Twins will travel to Wichita Wildcats College for their next game on Tuesday.
