Noah Allison drove in four runs on three hits to lead Derby Twins past Lonestar Collegiate 9-4 on Sunday. Noah Allison doubled in the seventh scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth scoring one.
Derby Twins were the first to get on the board in the first when Noah Allison singled, scoring one run.
John Gonzales doubled to center field, which helped Lonestar Collegiate tie the game at one in the top of the fourth.
Derby Twins took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Damian Garcia homered to left field, scoring two runs, to give Derby Twins the lead, 3-1.
Tyler Clementz started on the hill for Derby Twins. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking two. EJ Garcia led things off on the hill for Lonestar Collegiate. The starter gave up nine hits and six runs over four innings, striking out three and walking none. Peyton Walters appeared in relief for Derby Twins.
Derby Twins tallied 14 hits in the game. Kyle Walker went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Derby Twins in hits. Kade Sheldon and Elias Leon each collected multiple hits for Derby Twins. Derby Twins turned two double plays in the game. Derby Twins didn't commit a single error in the field. Damian Garcia had the most chances in the field with 12.
Tony DeJesus led Lonestar Collegiate with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The second baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. DJ Pinkerton and John Gonzales each collected two hits for Lonestar Collegiate. Lonestar Collegiate turned one double play in the game.
Derby Twins play at home on Tuesday against BTL Hornets 18O in their next game.
