Four Suns Selected to Play in 2025 FCSL All-Star Game
Date: Jul 4, 2025
Kissimmee, Fla. - The Winter Garden Squeeze held their first ever Poker Tournament at Rock and Brew's in Kissimmee on Margaritaville Boulevard on Sunday, June 29 at 6:00 p.m.
This event, which was held to support both the Florida Collegiate Summer League and Winter Garden Squeeze, was held over the course of approximately four hours on Sunday evening.
It was a great night for the league and team, with the tournament being sold out and even requiring alternate players to be signed up for the tournament as a result of the high demand.
The Squeeze and Florida League give many thanks to the numerous sponsors of the tournament, including Rock and Brews themselves, King of Pops, Clean Eatz, Jet’s Pizza, Huey Magoo’s, just to name a few.
Titan Kamaka, the league’s 2024 Player of the Year and Squeeze alum, was present for the majority of the night as he came out to support his former summer ball club.
“It’s great to see a great community out here,” said Kamaka during the tournament about the turnout and environment. “The Winter Garden Squeeze fans are very supportive and are some of the best out there.”
Although Titan did not play in the event himself, many current members of the Squeeze, including Javier Calzadilla, Dominic Donatucci, Nico Banez, Jack Hershey, Isaac Sewell and Mason Mojica did their best to compete to win some of the $1,000 in total prizes up for grabs over the weekend.
Mojica was unfortunately the first Squeeze eliminated from contention after being unable to advance past the first table groupings.
The last Squeeze remaining in the tournament was 3B/2B Dominic Donatucci from the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. He made it all the way to the final four tables before his luck ran out for the night.
“There’s some sharks on this team, for sure,” Donatucci jokingly said after eventually being eliminated from the tournament. “And I beat Zach Moore, one of the team’s interns, who was coming up to me before the tournament and saying ‘Watch out dude, I’m a shark, you never know what’s going to happen.’.”
With over $1,000 in prizes available for winners, the lucky first place competitor received a $500 gift card at the end of the night.
