Orlando, Fl. - The Orlando Snappers (15-7) walked things off against the Winter Garden Squeeze (7-15) with a Blake Fields 2-run shot to send the Snappers fans home happy.

After a scoreless first 3 innings of play, Orlando scored 2 runs in the fourth.

With 2 away in the inning, Grant Comeaux (Undecided) drew a walk to extend the inning.

Hayden Gustavson (Undecided) followed him with a 2-run homerun towards the left side of the field to put the Snappers ahead 2-0.

The Winter Garden Squeeze wasted no time in tying things up as they put up a 2-spot in the fifth inning.

Orlando’s offense continued to shine in the bottom of the inning when Matt Farner (Undecided) got credited with an RBI to score Hudson Walburn (University of West Alabama) and put the hosts up 3-2.

The Squeeze continued their pursuit to tie the game up and they broke through in the eighth inning with a sacrifice fly.

In the top of the tenth, Daniel Irizarry (Undecided) came in relief and shut the door facing the minimum and stranding that extra inning base runner at second base.

When the Snappers came to bat, they had Walburn at second who made his way to third on a wild pitch.

With 1 away and the winning run 90 feet away, all the Snappers needed was a long ball towards the outfield but Blake Fields (Miami Dade College) did that and so much more.

The recent high school graduate ambushed one towards left field and crushed it over the fence to give the Snappers a 2-run homerun in walk-off fashion along with their fourth consecutive victory.

Snappers' pitchers allowed 3 hits on just 3 runs while striking out 12.

Offensively, the Snappers rallied for 7 hits on those 5 runs.

They will look for the second 3-game sweep against the Winter Garden Squeeze on Saturday, June 28 with first pitch set for 7:00pm from Horizon High School in Winter Garden, Fl.
