Twins Secure Win Against Bat Cats

Derby Twins took down Haysville Aviators 5-1 on Tuesday.
A single by Cale Ortner put Haysville Aviators on the board in the bottom of the second.
Cooper Scott homered to left field, which helped Derby Twins tie the game at one in the top of the fourth.
Derby Twins took the lead, 5-1, in the top of the eighth thanks to singles by Cooper Scott, Noah Allison, and Griffin Cooley.
Cade Sutherland started on the mound for Derby Twins. The righty surrendered three hits and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Kole Sonnenburg stepped on the mound first for Haysville Aviators. The righty surrendered four hits and one run over four and one-third innings, striking out four and walking three. Peyton Walters and Carter Kutz each threw scoreless innings for Derby Twins in relief.
Noah Allison and Cooper Scott were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Derby Twins. Cooper Scott and Griffin Cooley each collected two hits for Derby Twins. Tyson Owens paced Derby Twins with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Derby Twins turned one double play in the game.
Cale Ortner went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Gam Jones went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Haysville Aviators in hits. Haysville Aviators turned one double play in the game.
Derby Twins will travel to Haysville Aviators for their next game on Wednesday.
