Sutherland’s Clutch Hitting Propels Twins over A’s 14-10

Noah Allison drove in four runs on three hits to lead Derby Twins past Newton Rebels 21-6 on Sunday. Noah Allison hit a home run to left field in the third inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the sixth inning, scoring one.
Derby Twins got on the board in the top of the second inning after Cooper Scott homered to center field, and Matt Hamond singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Derby Twins scored seven runs on eight hits in the top of the third inning. Cooper Scott doubled, scoring one run, Noah Allison homered to left field, scoring three runs, Rolen Driskoll tripled, scoring one run, Matt Hamond hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Caden Richards singled, scoring one run.
Derby Twins scored eight runs on eight hits in the top of the sixth inning. Joel Lindahl doubled, scoring one run, Tyson Owens singled, scoring two runs, Noah Allison singled, scoring one run, Griffin Cooley grounded out, scoring one run, Rolen Driskoll singled, scoring one run, and Lakin Franz induced Caden Richards to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored.
Kai Fitak led things off on the bump for Derby Twins. The starter allowed five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out one and walking none. Tomoharu Hidaka led things off on the mound for Newton Rebels. The pitcher allowed seven hits and seven runs over two and one-third innings, striking out two and walking two. Teddy Judkins pitched one inning of shutout ball for Derby Twins in relief. The reliever gave up one hit, striking out one and walking none.
Derby Twins amassed 23 hits in the game. Rolen Driskoll and Cooper Scott each collected four hits for Derby Twins. Joel Lindahl, Daniel Craig, Caden Richards, and Tyson Owens each collected multiple hits for Derby Twins. Tyson Owens led Derby Twins with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Noah Allison and Cooper Scott each stole multiple bases for Derby Twins. Derby Twins stole four bases in the game.
Newton Rebels accumulated 10 hits in the game. Lakin Franz led Newton Rebels with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The right fielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Raisean Dorsey, Jeffrey Neill, and Lakin Franz each collected two hits for Newton Rebels.
Derby Twins will travel to Wellington Heat for their next game on Monday.
