Golden Eagles - May 19-25

Date:  Source: BCPBL/PBL - Victoria Eagles

Three players were recognized by their coaching staff this week for their efforts this week. The Golden Eagle of the Week is awarded to an Eagle player who demonstrates the highest standard of inspiration, strength and resilience. Qualities we value in our organization, on and off the field.

Week 8: May 19-25

Premier: Garen Geoghegan earns the golden title for his masterful performance on the mound, delivering a complete game shutout against the North Shore Twins. Garen showcased exceptional control and dominance, tossing a full seven innings without allowing a single run or walk. With just 97 pitches, he efficiently carved through the lineup, scattering seven hits while keeping the scoreboard clean. His composure, precision, and ability to command the game from start to finish exemplify the heart of a true Golden Eagle.

Junior: Caleb Varnes was solid at the plate this past weekend going 5 for 9 scoring 3 runs and punching in a RBI himself. Versatility describes Caleb very well as he adapted to roaming the outfield instead of catching using precise throws to limit advancing opponents.

Bantam: This week’s Golden Eagle goes to Liam Milne for another strong showing at the plate. He went 4-for-6 with a triple and drove in 4 runs. Liam’s been a key part of the lineup all year and continued to deliver this weekend.

Congratulations!
