Three players were recognized by their coaching staff this week for their efforts this week. The Golden Eagle of the Week is awarded to an Eagle player who demonstrates the highest standard of inspiration, strength and resilience. Qualities we value in our organization, on and off the field. 

 

Week 13: June 23-29

 

Premier: Will Zielinski soared above the competition this week, earning the Golden Eagle of the Week award for his standout performance against the Okanagan Athletics. Zielinski went an impressive 4-for-11 at the plate, showcasing his consistency and power with a home run, two walks, and two RBIs. His ability to get on base and drive in runs was pivotal in sparking the team's offensive efforts.

 

Junior: Lucas Virtanen earns his second Golden Eagle, during an off week for the JP team. Lucas was called up by the Senior squad and contributed throughout the weekend as a solid teammate, as well as catching in a very tough pitchers-duel, throwing out one runner. He also helped the team with a sacrifice bunt.

 

Bantam: Jaxson Militello earns this week’s Golden Eagle after another standout two-way performance. He went 5-for-11 at the plate, scored 2 runs, stole 3 bases, and pitched 5.1 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts as part of a combined no hitter. Jaxson continues to lead with consistency, effort, and execution on both sides of the ball.
