The Golden Eagle of the Week is awarded to an Eagle player who demonstrates the highest standard of inspiration, strength and resilience. Qualities we value in our organization, on and off the field.
With both the Premier and Bantam games rained out this week, one player was recognized by the coaching staff for their efforts this week. The Junior team competed in the Annual Ken Hatton tournament in Langley, knocking the host team out of the tournament in the quarter final and ultimately losing a tight game vs. White Rock in the semi's.
Week 7: May 12-18
Junior: Matt Brown - the lanky Right-Hander was in pure shutdown mode this weekend in two appearances out of the pen at the Langley tournament. He contributed to two wins earning a save against the host Langley squad and also laying down a timely sac bunt. Poised with confidence continue to describe this young man. Well done!
