After a one-year absence, 2023 Bantam Eagles Manager Brad Weinmeyer is returning as Manager of the 2025 Bantam Eagles. Brad grew up playing baseball in Victoria but moved to Nanaimo to play for the PBL Pirates as an infielder in 1997 and 1998. In 1997, he was named the PBL’s top infielder and in 1998 the MVP of the PBL’s Championship Tournament. He played college ball for New Mexico Junior College Thunderbirds (NJCAA Div. 1) under legendary coach Ray Birmingham. Brad finished his college ball playing for New Mexico Highlands University (NCAA Div. 2). After college, he served as the Head Coach of the Nanaimo Pirates between 2005 and 2007 and was also a member of Team BC’s coaching staff in the PNC tournaments in 2005, 2006, and 2007. Between 2017 and 2022, Brad coached for the Victoria Mariners’ Premier and Junior Premier teams. He is the owner/operator of Batters Box Canada Inc. and since 2020 has been the Manager of the Victoria Bandits Baseball program. Brad lives with his wife and two boys in Sidney, BC.

 

 

 

Joining Brad in the 2025 Bantam Eagles dugout is the team’s Infield and Hitting Coach, Jason Willow. Jason was born and raised in Victoria and played 4 years of BC Premier Baseball with the Victoria Mariners. While in high school, he was a member of the Canadian Junior National Team for 2 years and played in the 2017 World Championships. Jason was selected in the 24 th round of the 2017 MLB draft by the Baltimore Orioles. Jason recently graduated from NCAA Div. 1 UC Santa Barbara where he had played for 5 years. Jason has been an assistant coach with the Victoria Premier Eagles for the last two seasons.

 

Victoria native Fynn Chester player with the Victoria Eagles between 2014 and 2016. He played his last year of BCPBL ball with the Victoria Mariners in 2017. Between 2018 and 2021, Fynn enjoyed standout seasons on the mound at Salt Lake Community College. The summer of 2019 saw Fynn on the mound for the Victoria HarbourCats. In 2022 and 2023, Fynn played for NCAA Div.1 UC Fullerton.

 

Born and raised in Victoria, Nick Lee played for the Victoria Mariners from 2014-2017. After high school Nick went on to play at Okanagan college from 2017-2019 winning the 2018 CCBC championship and holding the 3rd lowest program ERA. In 2021 Nick joined the Victoria Golden Tide and played for the Victoria HarbourCats in the summer of 2022.

 

Associate Coach John Gale

Jon Gale played four years (2015 – 2018) of BCPBL baseball with the Victoria Mariners. He was the co-MVP of the Premier Mariners in 2018. In recent years, Jon has coached Batters Box summer camps. 

 

Tryouts for the 2025 Junior Premier and Premier Eagles will take place on the Mavericks Field at Lambrick Park 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm on August 14 th , 21 st , and 28 th . Bring your glove, cleats, and bat. Players are encouraged to attend all three tryouts. If you cannot attend any of the tryouts, email gm@victoriaeagles.com to arrange an
