Locos win and clinch 13th consecutive postseason appearance

The Locos defeated the Joes yesterday to clinch a record 13th consecutive postseason appearance. They dominated, winning 6-1 to boost their record to 19-2. They now hold the 2nd spot in the GLSCL standings. 

 

Hunter Allen made his 1st start of the season for Lima. He tossed 4 innings of 1 run baseball. He also struck out 4 Joes. Griffin Howe entered the game in the 5th and also pitched 4 innings. He allowed no runs and one hit to give himself the win. 

 

The Joes had a multitude of pitchers pitch throughout yesterday’s contest. Carson French started the game and picked up his 2nd loss of the year. He allowed 3 runs, 1 of which was earned, off of 2 hits. Boardwine, Rawlings, Brower, and Helms also pitched during the game for Hamilton. 

 

Offensively for Lima Brice Estep started the scoring in the 3rd by launching a solo home run to left. Blake Bowen and Lou Fujiwara also knocked in runs during the 3rd to give Lima a 3-0 lead. In the 4th Lou Fujiwara knocked in yet another run and Landon Tate scored Richards. Then in the 5th Liam Richards knocked in the Locos final run of the game. 

 

The Locos look to inch closer to 1st place in the GLSCL tonight with game 2 against the Joes.
