No Hitter, Cohesion, and Calmness Push Locos To A Sweep
Date: Jun 9, 2025
The Mariners blanked Lima yesterday 12-0 to start the final 3-game set of the regular season.
Ryan Yinst started the game and only lasted 2 innings. He allowed 7 runs off of 4 hits. He was the only ‘traditional’ pitcher who pitched for the Locos. After trailing 7-0 heading into the 3rd, Coach Ernsberger sent out Caden Lockwood. Liam Richards and Brice Estep also pitched during the contest.
Hayden Bush started and completed the game for the Mariners. He pitched 7 innings of flawless baseball and struck out 7 of the 28 batters he faced.
Cameron Bryant and Jackson Rains each knocked in 3 runs. Ty Davis and Stefan Di Corrado also had multi-RBI nights. The biggest hit of the game came in the second when Jackson Rains launched a ball out of the yard.
The Locos are now 19-5 and still hold the 3 seed in the GLSCL postseason bracket.
