No Hitter, Cohesion, and Calmness Push Locos To A Sweep

The Locos ran over the Copperheads by a score of 13-4 yesterday. The Locos are now 16-12 and the Copperheads have a record of 12-16. Lima scored 11 of its 13 runs in innings 6 through 9.
Drew Kirby started on the mound for Lima. He pitched 6.2 innings and struck out 8 Copperheads. He also allowed 4 runs off of 6 hits.
Blake Bowen knocked in the game’s first run in the 3rd inning. Kaden Brown hit in Alexander in the 4th. Liam Richards, Brice Estep, and Sebastian Alexander also hit in runs in the 6th and 7th. Gorski, Bowen, Alexander, Brown, and Fujiwara knocked in the other Loco runs in the 8th and 9th.
Ben Bates started for Southern Ohio. In 6.1 innings he allowed 7 runs off of 7 hits and struck out 5. He now has a record of 2-4 this season.
Hunter Strong scored off a wild pitch in the 4th to give the Copperheads their first run. Ben Clark also scored off of a wild pitch and Case Sullivan scored on a passed ball. Joey Canzoni also scored in the game.
The Locos return home after an unexpected off day due to the rain tomorrow to play two 7-inning games.
