Big First Inning and Five Homeruns Break Five Game Drought...

The Locos fell to the Clippers in the series finale yesterday 9-2. The game was ended after 7 innings due to the rain.
Matteo Pare started for Lima and picked up his first loss of the season. He pitched 4 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. He now boasts a season record of 3-1.
Jacob Pallo started for Muskegon and he pitched 6 of the 7 innings that were played. He allowed 2 runs, stuck out 5, and allowed just 2 hits. He now has a record of 3-0 this season.
The Clippers struck twice in the opening inning. Justin Osterhouse picked up another RBI against Lima, knocking in Wong with a single. Later in the inning, Osterhouse scored thanks to a Cooper Hums hit.
In the bottom half of the first Tyler Herron scored Justin Gorski after grounding out.
Between the 2 teams, 6 batters stepped up to the plate, and 6 batters were sent back to the dugout by Pare and Pallo in the 2nd inning.
In the 3rd inning, both teams scored 1 run in their half. Cooper Hums picked up another RBI after hitting a sac fly, scoring Wong. Blake Bowen also batted in a run after he hit a sac fly.
The 4th inning was exactly like the 2nd inning. The pitchers dominated and sat down each batter they saw.
Ryan Yingst entered the game in the 5th. Ashton Wong hit an RBI triple, scoring Cole Mason from first. Wong later scored after a shortstop error. Then Preston Leon hit an infield single allowing McCoy to score. Only 1 of the 3 Clipper runs were considered to be earned that inning. At this point in the game, the score was 6-2.
In the 6th and 7th innings, the Clippers scored a total of 3 more runs. Cicerone scored after a wild pitch and Preston Leon blasted a 2 run-home run in the 7th.
The Locos are back at home tonight. They start a 3 game series with the Xenia Scouts.
