The Locos fell to the Clippers in game 1 of the 3-game series 7-1. 

Drew Kirby started on the mound for Lima. In 3 innings of work, he allowed 5 runs; however, only 2 of them were earned. He also allowed just 1 hit and struck out 5. Zach Viresenga started for the Clippers. He struck out 8 and allowed no runs through 7 innings of work. 

Offensively, the Locos’ only run came in the 8th inning. Caden Lockwood hit the first home run at Simmons Field for Lima this year. Ashton Wong, Justin Osterhouse, and Cooper Hums each batted in run(s) throughout the game. 

The Locos look to end their 2 game skid tonight. Thomas Howard will face off against Benjamin Kochany pitching-wise.
