For the 4th time in 5 games, the Locos got into the win column. Yesterday they defeated the Xenia Scouts 11-5 to move to 5-5. It is also worth noting the Locos outhit the Scouts 14-4. 

 

Chase Jarnagin started on the mound for Lima and picked up his first win of the season. Innings 1 and 2 were dominated by the Scouts. They scored 4 times to take a 4-0 lead. Jake McNamara hit a 2-run home run early and Zach Zarko hit a 2 RBI single. The Scouts’ only other run came in the 6th. 

 

The Locos scored twice in the 3rd, once in the 5th, three times in the 6th, once again in the 7th, then four times in the 9th. Blake Bowen, Sebastian Alexander, Brooks Wright, Kaden Brown, and Liam Richards each batted in runs. Ryne Kaiser started the game for Xenia. He allowed 3 runs. Manny Soto was given the loss after allowing 4 runs in one inning of work. 

 

The Locos look to win a 4th consecutive game tonight and move above .500 record-wise for the first time in 2024.
