Gorski then flew out to end the inning.

Pare was efficient in the top of the 5th. He pitched around a single and a walk in the inning to keep the score 10-1.

Fujiwara and Bowen both got on base to lead off the bottom half of the 5th. Fujiwara was able to score after another catching error by Ben Clark. Brooks Wright then scored Bowen after he singled to right.

Andrew Stechshulte then entered the game to pitch and put down the Copperheads in order. And Oliver was able to keep the Locos from scoring in their half of the inning.

Going into the top of the 7th the Copperheads needed to score at least once to keep the game going, but they were unable to do that.
