Big First Inning and Five Homeruns Break Five Game Drought...

The Locos got back in the winning column yesterday(6/15) defeating the Copperheads 9-1.
Drew Kirby started the game for Lima and pitched 4 innings of shutout baseball. He also struck out 7 of the 16 batters he faced. Cody Soliday also pitched 4 innings of shutout baseball. Soliday was credited with his second win of the early season.
Blake Bowen knocked in another run. He now has RBI in 5 of his first 8 games. Tagger Tyson and Liam Richards also batted in runs. It is also worth noting that Lou Fujiwara got 4 hits in 6 at bats. The Locos had 17 hits in total!
The Copperheads’ starting pitcher was Jaren Slusher. Slusher pitched 5 innings and allowed 10 hits and 2 runs. He was given his second loss of the season. The Cooperheads’ loan run came in the bottom of the 9th after a Luke Geske wild pitch.
The Locos now have a record of 3-5 and look to win their first series of the season tonight back at home.
