No Hitter, Cohesion, and Calmness Push Locos To A Sweep
Date: Jun 9, 2025
Last Thursday, Lima Loco’s legendary coach Rob Livchak was inducted into the GLSCL Hall of Fame. He was invited to throw out the first pitch at Simmons Field and join the Loco’s broadcast.
Rob said that he found out he was receiving the honor by getting a phone call. Back in 1991, Livchak was asked to coach the Locos. 2 years later, the Locos won their first title. Livchak mentioned that that year they did great job recruiting players.
He coached the Locos for 16 seasons. In those seasons he won 339 games and won 2 GLSCL Championships.
Another thing with Rob Livchak is, he is a very humble man. He made sure to mention players and former coaches in his interviews.
On Thursday Livchak was interviewed by Brady Laber and Rob finished by saying this: “I just love this team and this organization and praise god for this opportunity.”
Congratulations to Rob!
