The Peninsula Oilers and Derek Foote have agreed to a mutual separation.  Derek will be stepping down from the General Manager position effective May 3, 2024.  Recognizing our limited resources, Derek put forth his offer to step down from his position with the Peninsula Oilers to help maximize those resources, and the Oilers made the difficult decision to accept it. The Oilers, though facing a financial downturn, are committed to see this season through and will build on the efforts initiated by Derek.  We are thankful for the time Derek has dedicated to the Oilers; our gratitude goes with him.
