The weather threw a wrench into this past weekend with a spate of games having to be cancelled. However, #11 DePaul University and UW Oshkosh were able to get one game of their series played. Taking place on Sunday afternoon, in Oshkosh, WI, DePaul jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Their shutout victory pulled DePaul into a tie for third in the conference standings.

 

In non-conference action, #2 Concordia University WI went 1-2 at the Lindenwood Winter Classic, defeating #15 Trine University and losing to #1 Lindenwood University and Marian University while Marian University went 1-1, losing to #1 Lindenwood and and defeating #2 CUW. Weather cancelled Aurora’s series with Davenport University, and Roosevelt University lost to Illinois State University.

 

#11 DePaul University and UW Oshkosh’s series did not escape the winter storm. As a result, only game two was able to be played. DePaul made the trip up to UWO on Sunday, 1/14, and pulled off a definitive victory. As of press time the gamesheet had not been posted for a more detailed account of DePaul’s 9-0 victory.

 

#2 CUW lost to #1 Lindenwood University 12-1 on Friday, defeated #15 Trine University 10-1 on Saturday, and lost to Marian University 4-3 on Sunday in the Lindenwood Winter Classic.

Marian University and #15 Trine University did not play on Friday, Marian was defeated by #1 Lindenwood University 7-0 on Saturday, and beat #2 CUW 4-3 on Sunday in the Lindenwood Winter Classic.

Aurora University’s series with Davenport University was postponed.

Roosevelt University lost to Illinois State University on Saturday 5-2.
