Date:  Source: Super East Collegiate Hockey League

The Siena Saints took the ice against Sacred Heart last weekend. Siena received goals from TJ Pierce, Dominick Oppedisano, and Daalten Demarsh and goaltender Matt McCarthy stopped 34 or 35 Pioneer shots to secure the win for the Saints. With that win, Siena moved to 2-1-0 in league play. Marist and Siena will renew their rivalry series, the I-87 Cup, this Friday which is a best of 3 tradition between the two teams. In the first game, the Saints clawed their way to a tight 3-2 victory. However the game was a non-league contest. This weekend counts not only for the rivalry series, but it counts for the league as well.

Marist followed up a tough non league loss against CCSU with an 8-4 win against Montclair State. The Foxes scored 5 power play goals, including 3 in the 3rd period to overcome a 4-3 deficit in the final frame to secure their first league victory.

Army also returns to play this weekend as they will take on both Siena and Marist on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Army was able to secure a win against Siena in the first weekend of November and looks to sweep both season series' this weekend.
