Derby splits DH with Cheney losing the first game 4-1 and winning the second 4-2

The game scheduled for June 7 in Cheney was played in Derby as the first game in a double header (seven inning games).  The game scheduled for June 8 in Derby was the second game.  

Derby out hit Cheney eleven to three in the first game as the visitor, but lost 4-1 as Cheney scored all four runs in the fourth inning.  Derby scored their run in the sixth.  

Four Twins had two hits in the first game (Joey Calamaio, Cade Baker, Jayden Shafer, and Junior Lopez).  Jimmy Zhang went 3.2 innings and allowed all four runs.  Brady Bell (1.1 innings) and Tanner Warady (one inning) held Cheney scoreless the rest of the way.  

Game two was the opposite as Cheney out hit Derby seven to four, but the Twins won 4-2.  Derby scored runs in the second and third innings.  Cheney scored their first run in the fifth on a solo HR.  Derby added two insurance runs in the sixth.  Cheney added a run on a sacrifice fly in the seventh.  The game ended on an appealed called third strike with the tying runs on base. 

Kirkland Trahan was the only Twin with two hits in the second game.  Four Twins had RBIs (Kirkland Trahan, Korey Cooper, Dylan Hufft, and Colin Kirk).  Trevor Baugh went four innings allowing just one hit with three Ks.  Esteban Hernandez went the final three innings allowing six hits and two runs with five Ks.
