Former Captain Nadeau commits to University of Toledo
Date: May 11, 2022
The Civics continue to announce player re-signings for the upcoming season and are proud to announce that rookie scoring leader Brayden Wenlock will be returning to the Civics for the 2021-2022 GMHL Season.
Wenlock returns to the Civics following a strong, albeit extremely short, rookie season where was able to leas Civics rookies in scoring through their first two games of the season with 3 points, including 2 goals!
Wenlock who stands over 6’ tall is excited to return to the Civics and hopes the hard work he has put in over the summer will translate, “"I am so proud and honored to be part Civics and to be working with the coaching staff for another season. I have been preparing myself over the summer and I am ready to further develop my skills and push myself to the next level. Start Hard, End Hard".
Prior to joining the Civics Wenlock played minor hockey for the Aldergrove Kodiaks minor hockey system.
GM Jordan Richardson can’t wait to have Wenlock back this season, “Brayden was by fire one of the hardest workers on and off the ice last season, he improved so much in just a few months of training and I have been seeing videos of him putting in the work back home in BC. He has a great shot and is physically gifted, this season we will have him lean into his size and win matchups against some of the oppositions toughest I am sure of it.”
Brayden also proved himself to be an active member of the team in terms of putting his and his teammate’s wellbeing at the forefront and that is a trait that is rare. We are lucky to have him back in New Tecumseth, welcome back to Civic Nation Brayden!
