Former Captain Nadeau commits to University of Toledo
Date: May 11, 2022
Matthew, returns as netminder to a squad he spent last year’s pandemic shortened year with. He went 1-0, winning his only start with the team in the season opening 8-4 win over the Tottenham Thunder making 25 saves for the team! Ethan was a part of a large group of players who trained hard on and off the ice while the season was on hold before
When asked about coming back to the Civics Ethan was proud to have his hard work recognized with this opportunity to once again play for New Tecumseth, “I am so honored and grateful to have the opportunity to return to the civics for another year. I’m ready to start the season and show the league that the civics are championship hungry. It’s been a long off season healing and training but I’m ready to come back stronger and better than last year.
Prior to playing for the Civics Ethan played in the Aldergrove Kodiaks Minor Hockey system. He will be wearing his #72 once again this season
Civics Coach Joe Cathcart was excited about the signing of the young goaltender, “Ethan is way more than a really great goalie. He is always willing to do what others are not, has what it takes to beat the odds, sacrifices. With a commitment to fitness, discipline, never-give-up-always-get-better attitude, and his coach-ability, we believe he will always rise up. That’s why he is here.”
From all of us in Civic Nation we are proud to welcome you back to New Tecumseth Ethan and hope that we can count on you to bring an A-1 Attitude to our team on the ice and in our community!
