Grand Island Hosts Sodbusters Game
Date: Jul 14, 2021
The head coach of the Hastings Sodbusters is stepping down due to health and safety concerns.
The Sodbusters say that Head Coach Bill Clay abruptly resigned on July 1st out of personal concern for his health and safety due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases nationwide. Co-owners Scott Galusha and Bryan Frew have begun interviewing prospective coaches to fill the role, and the position is expected to be filled before the team's next home game on July 9th.
Galusha is temporarily stepping into the role of head coach, and the team wished Clay all the best in his future endeavors.
