Kitchener, Ont. –Team OMHA Black won 5-3 over Team HNO in the Consolation Bronze game.

Team OMHA Black  had three goals in the first. Ethan Lindsay scoring unassisted, James Jodoin scored shortly after from Ryan Cutler, Adam OMarra. Ty Anselmini capped of the trifecta from Dylan Richardson. Shaymus Stevenson answered back for Team HNO  from Alex Atwill, Jeremy Dunmore.

Now into the second period, Jack Michaelis scored unassisted for Team HNO. Team OMHA Black answered back shortly after thanks to Dylan Richardson from Mark McIntosh, Ty Anselmini. And Adam OMarra scorded the fifth and final goal for Team OMHA Black from Kaleb Nelson, Ryan Cutler

Alex Atwill scored the only goal of the third to give HNO a final score of 3 from Jack Cook.

The OHL Gold Cup is an annual showcase event featuring top under-16 talent in Ontario. As part of the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence (POE), players competing at the OHL Gold Cup have an opportunity to be evaluated for invitation to the national under-17 development camp, where Hockey Canada gathers the top talent from across the country to introduce players to the national team program and provide a foundation of development as they progress through the POE.
