While the Toronto Mets have been busy preparing for the 2019 season, many of the alumni have just completed the first month of the college baseball season.  There are currently 42 Toronto Mets Alumni playing College Baseball south of the border.  

While there are still some players waiting to get their season started, Mineral Area SO Liam Hicks has started his season with a blast. More specifically 6 blasts which puts him second in the NJCAA in home runs. The recent Arkansas State commit is off to a tremendous start to the 2019 season earning him the Toronto Mets Alumni of the month for February.

Hicks and the Mineral Area Cardinals got the season started off with a 10-7 Victory at Snead State where Hicks recorded 2 hits a double, home run, and 3 RBI's. He went 3-10 in a series with Bevill State recorder 2 doubles and earning 6 walks. Then Hicks put up video game numbers in a recent series against Nunez College. The Cardinal Catcher went 7-13 with 4 home runs, 11 RBI's, 8 runs, and 4 walks. In the final game of the month at Shawnee, Hicks put any debate of who would be the Alumni of the Month with a 4-4 performance which included a double and his fourth straight game with a home run. Hicks final February numbers include a .533 BA, 6 home runs, 15 RBI's, 14 runs, all in 9 games played.
