NYBA Announces North York Mets 15U

The Toronto Mets players enjoyed a very successful week five in the Canadian Premiere Baseball League. There were a number of elite performances on the field from each team this week. This week we go to the mound to find our co-performers of the week. Cody Bond was just dominate on the mound this weekend. The Mineral Area commit threw five innings striking out an incredible 13 batters in the victory. 2021 Grad and Junior National Team pitcher Mitch Bratt enjoyed an outstanding weekend both on the mound and at the plate. Bratt threw 5.2 innings giving up just two earned runs while striking out 10 batters in the victory on Saturday. At the plate, Bratt went 6-9 with a double and 7 RBI’s.
14u Mets - Johnny Mantia had a big weekend at the plate going 7-12 with three doubles and four RBI’s. Tarek Emara also collected seven hits driving in five runs and scoring five times. Caden Reed picked up 5 hits including two doubles. Dylan Bonzon delivered three RBI’s, while Jaden Cohen pounded out two doubles.
15u Mets – Jack Pineau was a leader both on the mound and at the plate. The Thunder Bay native collected seven hits on the weekend and picked up a victory on the mound throwing five shutout innings striking out four. Teddy Yeo threw six shutout innings in his victory striking out six batters. Ethan Yabrov threw a complete game victory striking out seven giving up just one run. Jonah Tong was great in his start throwing five innings striking out eight batters. Aaron Manias and Flynn Matheson each had big weekends offensively.
16u Watt – Griffen McMillan and Charlie Irotakis enjoyed a great offensive weekend. McMillan had six hits, two doubles, and three RBI’s. Irotakis collected four hits including a homerun and three RBI’s. He also picked up a victory on the mound. Carter Quinny threw four innings scattering six hits while striking out five.
16u Sereda – Lukas Sabo pitched four innings giving up zero earned runs while striking out five in his victory on the mound. Cam Noble, Ethan Marriott, and Jonah Feldstein each picked up four hits. Marriott also drove in four runs, while Landon Bentley picked up three RBI’s.
17u Reid – Adam Khan, Alex Vince, Ben Sitarenios, and Mitch Bratt all picked up wins on the weekend. Adam Akhalwaya and Sukhbir Parmar picked up saves in their inning of work each. Mitch Bratt led the way offensively with six hits and seven RBI’s. Adam Akhalways went 5-10 with three RBI’s. Justin Carinci, Devon Capitao, and Caden Shapiro all belted out five hits each. Ryan Kehoe collected six hits and two stolen bases. Brainard Parrenas picked up four RBI’s.
17u Maury – Rowan Radzinski had a monster week going 8-15 with two doubles, two homeruns, and seven RBI’s. Call up Alex Scoular jumped right into the lineup and drove in seven runs. Evan Soules and Jake Bucovetsky each had six hits and 2 RBI’s. Drew Howard struck out 10 batters in his five innings of work, and Bucovetsky picked up a win and a save on the weekend.
18u Leitch – It was another offensive explosion for the 18u Mets this weekend. Ryan Leitch went 8-11 with five doubles and six RBI’s Kieran Gagnon and Jacob Bonzon each hit a homerun. Noah Hull crushed two long balls two doubles and a triple. Zach Gardiner made the best of his four hits picking up a double and two triples to go along with seven runs batted in. On the mound they threw four complete game victories. Blake MacMillan threw seven innings striking out 12 batters. Cody Bond pitch five innings striking out 13. Marshall Leishman also threw five innings striking out 10 batters, and Carter Seabrooke threw four innings striking out six in his outing.
