FREMONT, Neb. – In their final home series of the season, Midland University split a pair of games with Lawrence Technological University over the weekend. The Warriors won the opener by a score on Friday night before falling in overtime to the Blue Devils 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. Blake Neumann and Luke Sanko each found the back on the net in Friday's win. Neumann's goal came as the first period was winding down off assists from Jake Mullendore and Zach Voss. Sanko scored on a power play midway through the third off a pass from Mullendore and Trevor Hillman. Sanko would even the score before the period would end though to knot things back up. He scored off of assists from Tyler Gallagher and Voss on the power play with just five seconds left on the clock.

After neither team could break the tie in the third period. The game went to a 3-on-3 overtime period of five minutes. Each team fired up three shots in the extra session. Austin Petty, the Blue Devils' goalie stopped all three, 24 for the game, to get the win. Kelley made 35 saves in the game but couldn't stop the last one as Eric Randall scored the game-winner with just 54 seconds left in overtime.
