The Fighting Knights wrapped up the first half of its 2018-2019 schedule with a 5-3-1 record, including an undefeated in-conference record, placing Lynn University atop the standings in the East Florida Collegiate Hockey Conference.

After starting the season with a pair of losses in Atlanta to Alabama-Birmingham and perennial national championship contender Georgia Tech, the Fighting Knights returned home with wins against EFCHC foes Florida Tech and new conference member Eastern Florida State College. Home Opening Weekend, presented by Requip’d and PadSkinz, included an incredible nine-point performance – four goals and five assists -- by freshman Tommy Gramando in the Fighting Knights’ 9-3 win over Florida Tech.

By sweeping a pair of away games on October 20-21 against Flagler College, 5-2 and 7-1, Lynn earned a measure of revenge against the Saints, who defeated the Fighting Knights in the conference playoffs last season. The first game saw Lynn set a school record with 63 shots on goal.

Amid the conference play, The Boca Cup, against Florida Atlantic University, kicked off with a pair of wild, physical games, with Lynn gaining a 5-5 tie in the opener, before dropping the second game. The second leg of the in-city rivalry continues in January.

The first half of the season wrapped on October 27 with a home 14-3 win over Florida Tech, highlighted by a hat trick from freshman Nolan Ruff.
