Glens Falls - NY The Glens Falls Dragons are pleased to announce that Breezy Point, New York Native Dan Ryan will be joining Coach Cameron Curler’s squad for the 2018 PGCBL season.

 

Ryan, 20 appeared in 30 games to kick off his collegiate career as a freshman at Fairfield University, where he was able to finish his first year with a  batting average of .208 respectably. The 6-3 outfielder collected 24 at-bats and collected his first hit of his college career against the University of Pennsylvania on March 11th of this year. After collecting his first hit the 185 pounder had some impressive moments. Ryan, first against Stony Brook on April 26th was able to single the eventual game-winning run in extra innings. In game two of that same day Dan was able to show off his arm in the outfield and gunned down the potential tying run at the plate to end the game and then on May 15th Dan bounced in the game-winning run in the home finale against Marist.

 

The finance major was also a three year captain of his high school team for the Xaverian Clippers where he led his team to the Brooklyn/Queens Championship all four years. In his senior season Ryan was named the team’s Most Valuable Player hitting an average of .350 along with collecting 52 hits and adding 23 RBI’s to his stat line. After an impressive senior season Dan was named to the Coach Bob National Tournament All-Tournament Team and was named the CHSAA All-City First Team during senior season.

Dan Ryan was high school teammates with 2017 Dragon, Phoenix Hernandez in Brooklyn, New York.
