Candice Van Horn, U of R Shortstop, was the recipient of the 2017 WCSA Top Hitter Award. Candice registered a .554 lead leaguing batting average during the regular season and a .571 average during the playoffs. Candice is from Drums Pennsylvania and is a 2nd year Graduate Student in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies.

 

First Year Head Coach from the University of Regina, Andrea Wolf, was the recipient of the 2017 WCSA Coach of the Year Award. Andrea guided the U of R Cougars, 2017 WCSA League Champs, to their best won/loss record in school history with a 27-1-1 overall record.
