The Hopkins Millers, Post 320 JR. American Legion Baseball Team represents the highest level of amateur baseball (in the 17U age range) that the Hopkins Summer Baseball Program has to offer. It consists of the top-tier players (age 17 and under) residing in the Hopkins School District domicile.

The mission of the Hopkins Millers Program is to develop its players for competition at the SR. American Legion level. Equally important, it is the Program’s goal to provide its players an environment that gives them the opportunity to further develop their individual skills, and experience personal achievement within a team atmosphere. We strive to promote the characteristics of good sportsmanship, honesty, respect, loyalty, and sense of teamwork through a positive competitive environment, so that our fine athletes may become strong, healthy, well-adjusted members of the community.

Following a 2016 campaign that saw the Millers crowned as Jr. Legion State Champions, the 2017 team looks to defend its title. Head Coach Jason Mihalakis (who also serves as the Hopkins High School Varsity Head Coach) begins his first season at the helm of Jr. Legion team, as is excited to work with the future, upcoming talent in the Hopkins Baseball Program as a whole. Comprised primarily of players who recently completed their sophomore year, the ball club projects to once again be a strong contender in this years State Junior Legion field.

“I look forward to seeing the development of this team throughout the summer,” noted Flyers Head Coach, Todd Jahnke. “Coach Mihalakis does a fantastic job of developing and cultivating talent, which is exactly what we’re looking for at the Junior Legion level. We want to win every time we step out on the field, but the Program’s ultimate goal is to further develop its players, and prepare them for competition at the next level,” Coach Jahnke went onto say.
