The 2016-17 West Virginia University Hockey Club will be holding open tryouts on Wednesday August 31st & Thursday September 1st at 10 PM. The Open Tryout will be held at the teams home rink, the Morgantown Municipal Ice Center. Tryout registration can be done by clicking the HOME tab on the website. There is a $100 registration fee but this fee may be waived or discounted. See the tryout link for details.

 In addition, there will be an Open Skate on August 29th at 10 PM. This is free of charge.

The Open Tryout is for any registered student at WVU who would like the opportunity to play collegiate hockey. Unlike other hockey clubs, the WVUHC does not promise spots to players before the tryout and will look to take the players that will best represent the team and contribute to its stated goal of earning a berth at Nationals this season.
