Seton Hall Hockey welcomed back a large group of alumni this past weekend for its annual Alumni Game, and the night delivered everything the event stands for: competitive hockey, program pride, and lifelong Pirate connections.

In front of an "electric" crowd at Codey Arena, Team White edged Team Blue 4–3 in a tightly contested, fast-paced game that featured end-to-end action from start to finish. The score remained close throughout the night, with Team White leading for a majority of the game and a dramatic late-game push from Team Blue that tied it late in the third. Even a penalty shot by Team Blue at the end was not enough to get the win.

While the final score favored Team White, the true winner of the night was the Seton Hall hockey community. Alumni from multiple graduating classes returned to the ice, reconnecting with former teammates, coaches, and current players. The game served as both a celebration of the program’s history and a reminder of the tight-knit culture that continues to define Seton Hall Hockey.

The pace of play and skill on display highlighted just how much talent has passed through the program over the years. Just as impressive was the competitiveness—despite being a friendly reunion, neither team took a shift off.

Beyond the action on the ice, the night created lasting memories off of it. Current players had the opportunity to interact with alumni, hear their stories, and witness firsthand the lifelong bond that comes with wearing the Pirate jersey. Events like the Alumni Game continue to strengthen the bridge between generations and reinforce what it truly means to be part of the Seton Hall Hockey family.

As Team White celebrated its hard-fought 4–3 victory, the bigger takeaway remained clear: the Seton Hall Hockey program is built on pride, tradition, and an enduring alumni network. The success of this year’s Alumni Game only adds to that legacy.
