GAME PREVIEW: ACHA back home with 3 game weekend starting with Xavier University

On Friday, October 23rd, The Xavier University Hockey Club comes to Morgantown to take on the 4-2 Mountaineers. has averaged an amazing 4.8 goals per game and will test the 'Neers defense which is led by Super Sophmores Tyler Richardson, Kenny Knoll, and Alex Battin. WVU is coming off a disappointing effort against league leading Fredonia State which saw the team unchariteristically give up 6 goals. "We definitely did not do what was required to compete in a game against a quality opponent like Fredonia" said Coach Brian Boehm who was visibly upset with the effort his players showed. "With a young team, every game is a learning experience regardless of talent". Coach Boehm will go back to Timmy Brei in net who will start for the first time since his shut out of Cal U. WVU will have little time to dwell on its loss to Fredonia as they make the trip to Morgantown on Sunday. Catch all of the action by visiting www.wvuhockey.net and get your tickets today!
