July is the peak month for American Legion Baseball from one end of the country to the other.  

In Minnesota the biggest event of the Legion season is the 96-team Gopher Classic, which is played at 16 sites in the Twin Cities area.  One of those sites, Big Willow Park in Hopkins, hosted 15 games in pool play last weekend.
