SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan holds on for 3-2 win against SV Caldaro Rothoblaas

SV Caldaro Rothoblaas tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan Broncos would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

A goal by R. Jordan Sayers Owens put SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan up 3-0 in the second period, but SV Caldaro Rothoblaas pulled to within one on Raphael Andergassen's tally 14:12 into the third period.

Matti Jonas Naatanen and Sayers Owens provided the spark for the Broncos, combining for three goals and three assists. Naatanen finished with two goals and one assist and Sayers Owens also notched one goal and two assists.

SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. The defensemen of the Broncos were also effective in SV Caldaro Rothoblaas' zone, and came away with two goals. SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan also got points from Sayers Owens, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan were Fabian Hackhofer, Jason Walters, and Hannes Stofner, who contributed one each.

SV Caldaro Rothoblaas' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as SV Caldaro Rothoblaas finished with 30 penalty minutes.

In addition, SV Caldaro Rothoblaas received assists from Denny Deanesi, Markus Kofler, and Luca Franza, who each chipped in one.

The Broncos' Joni Juho Paavali Puurula stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. SSI Vipiteno Weihenstephan registered three goals on nine power play opportunities. Daniel Morandell made 40 saves for SV Caldaro Rothoblaas on 43 shots.
