Alexander Petrov scored the clinching goal in a shootout, and Hockey Milano Rossoblu picked up the extra point in a 5-4 (3-2 SO) win over Rittner Buam.

The shootout lasted for 18 attempts between the teams. Rittner Buam got shootout goals from Eric Johansson and Johansson. In addition to the clincher, Hockey Milano Rossoblu got shootout goals from Tyler Gron and David Vallorani.

Hockey Milano Rossoblu saw a three-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. Hockey Milano Rossoblu made the score 4-1 on a goal by Petrov at 4:40 in the second period. Rittner Buam evened things up at 4-4 on a goal by Julian Kostner at 11:17 in the third period.

Nicola Fontanive and Edoardo Caletti provided the spark for Hockey Milano Rossoblu, combining for three goals and two assists. Fontanive registered two goals and Caletti also added one goal and two assists.

Hockey Milano Rossoblu excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Hockey Milano Rossoblu additionally got points from Caletti, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Hockey Milano Rossoblu were Vallorani, who had two and Nicolo Latin, Gron, and Tommaso Migliore, who contributed one each.

Rittner Buam's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Rittner Buam gives up 2.5 goals per game.

Rittner Buam was helped by Johansson, who registered two goals. Johansson scored the first of his two goals at 1:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Rittner Buam. Lorenz Daccordo assisted on the tally. Johansson's next tally made the score 4-3 Hockey Milano Rossoblu with 12:55 left in the third period. Christian Borgatello picked up the assist. Rittner Buam also got points from Dan Tudin, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Rittner Buam received assists from Travis Ramsey, Simon Kostner, Patrick Rissmiller, and Luca Ansoldi, who each chipped in one.

Alex Caffi recorded 54 saves for Hockey Milano Rossoblu. Hockey Milano Rossoblu incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Rittner Buam took out Josef Niederstatter after he had made nine saves and installed Hannes Treibenreif in goal, where he finished with 13 saves and the loss. Rittner Buam incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
